Simple Steps to
Your Compensation.
We've designed every step to be as straightforward and stress-free as possible. From your first enquiry to receiving your compensation, we handle everything — so you don't have to.
Four Steps. We Handle the Rest.
The PCP and HP car finance mis-selling scandal has affected millions of UK drivers. Our process is designed to remove every barrier between you and the compensation you are owed — with no upfront cost, no paperwork burden, and no risk to you whatsoever.
Complete Your Free Eligibility Check
The first step is quick, free, and completely without obligation. Simply complete our secure online form — it takes less than 60 seconds and requires no paperwork, no credit check, and no commitment from you.
We ask for basic details about yourself, the vehicle you financed, and the lender involved. That's all we need to carry out an initial assessment of your eligibility.
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- The make and model of the financed vehicle
- Approximate year the finance agreement was taken out
- The type of agreement — PCP, HP, or unsure
- Your lender's name, if you can recall it
We Review Your Case & Contact You
Once you've submitted your details, a dedicated case handler will review your information and carry out an initial assessment of your claim's merits. We will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your case in full.
During this call or email exchange, we will explain your legal position clearly, outline the strength of your claim based on the available information, and provide a full breakdown of our fee structure before you commit to anything.
- Initial assessment completed by our team within 24 hours
- Your legal rights clearly explained — no jargon
- Full fee transparency — agreed in writing before we proceed
- 14-day cooling-off period — cancel at any time, no cost
No obligation to proceed. If we don't think your claim has merit, we'll tell you honestly.
We Submit Your Claim & Manage All Correspondence
Once you've signed your Letter of Authority, we take over entirely. We submit a formal complaint to your lender on your behalf, and manage all responses, paperwork, and escalations. You won't need to speak to the lender at any point.
If the lender does not respond within 8 weeks, or issues a final response that we believe is unfair, we will escalate your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) — at no additional cost to you.
- Formal complaint drafted and submitted to your lender
- Subject Access Request (SAR) issued to obtain all relevant records
- All lender responses reviewed and contested where necessary
- Escalation to Financial Ombudsman Service if required
- You are kept updated at every significant milestone
You Receive Your Compensation
When your claim succeeds, compensation is paid directly to you by the lender or ordered by the Financial Ombudsman Service. The amount will reflect the hidden commission paid, any excess interest charged, and statutory interest at 8% per annum from the date of the loss.
Our success fee — a percentage of your compensation award — is only deducted at this stage. The exact percentage is agreed with you in writing before we begin work. You will always receive a clear settlement statement before any deduction is made.
- Compensation paid directly to you by the lender
- Statutory 8% interest per annum applied from date of loss
- Clear settlement statement provided before any fee deduction
- If unsuccessful: you pay absolutely nothing
The Timeline That Made Your Claim Possible
Understanding how this situation developed — and why now is the right time to act.
Discretionary Commission Arrangements become standard practice across UK motor finance. Dealers gain the ability to set customer interest rates, earning higher commissions for higher rates — without any disclosure requirement.
The Financial Conduct Authority launches a review of the motor finance market, gathering evidence that DCAs had systematically caused consumers to pay significantly more than they should have. The scale of the problem becomes clear.
The FCA formally bans DCAs in the motor finance market, confirming that the practice harmed consumers and that significant compensation may be due to millions of affected drivers across the UK.
The Court of Appeal rules that lenders were legally required to disclose commission arrangements and obtain the customer's informed consent. The ruling significantly strengthens the legal basis for consumer claims and increases the likely scope of compensation available.
The FCA and Financial Ombudsman Service are actively processing complaints. Limitation periods may apply, and the window to make a claim will not remain open indefinitely. The sooner you start, the stronger your position.
What You May Need — and What We Get for You
You do not need to provide any documents to start your claim. However, if you have any of the following to hand, they can help speed up the process. We will obtain everything else directly from your lender.
Finance Agreement
Your original PCP or HP agreement document, including the interest rate, total amount payable, and term length. Helpful but not essential.
Agreement Date
The approximate date or year you entered into the finance agreement. Useful to confirm eligibility within the 2007–2021 window.
Lender Name
The name of the finance company — for example, Black Horse, Santander, Barclays Partner Finance, or a manufacturer's finance arm.
Dealership Details
The name and location of the dealership where you purchased the vehicle. This helps us identify the commission arrangement in place.
Personal Identification
Photo ID (passport or driving licence) may be requested later in the process to verify your identity. Not required at the start.
Nothing Else Required
We obtain all remaining records — commission details, agreement history, interest calculations — directly from your lender via SAR.
You do not need to locate any original paperwork to start your claim. We request all necessary documentation directly from your lender using a Subject Access Request (SAR). Under UK law, lenders must respond within 30 days. If you cannot remember the lender's name or the exact date of your agreement, we can still help — just tell us what you do remember.
No Win. No Fee. No Risk.
We take on the full cost and risk of pursuing your claim. If your claim is unsuccessful for any reason — you pay us absolutely nothing. There are no hidden charges, no disbursements, and no administration fees.
Our success fee is only deducted from your compensation once your claim succeeds and funds are received. The exact percentage is agreed and signed off in writing before we begin — no surprises.
